One to one separation support for mothers

Sometimes what helps most is talking to someone who has been where you are. This is time with me, one to one, at whatever pace suits you. You do not need a plan before we start.

Separation asks you to make decisions at the exact moment you are least able to make them. You are holding work, the children, and your own grief, often in the same afternoon.

Reading something helps. Talking to someone helps differently.

This is the part where you do not have to explain the whole story from the beginning. I already know the shape of it.

Two ways to start

A free 25 minute conversation. Free.

A quiet conversation about where you are. No cost, no obligation, nothing to prepare. Phone or video.

Note - Maximum one per person.

One to One session.

Sixty minutes, one to one. $150 per session. Book it for this week if that is what you need. No commitment beyond the hour.

Note - I fit these around my own work and children, so times are limited. If nothing on the calendar works for you, send me an email and we will find something.

What we actually do

Sessions are about you.

We work on getting steady. On the noise in your head at two in the morning. On what you are carrying and what you can put down. On supporting your children while you are also the one who is hurting. On who you are becoming on the other side of this.

The practical parts matter too. Finances, entitlements, parenting arrangements. I will not spend your hour explaining those. I will send you a short written note on whatever comes up afterwards, so the time stays on the things only a conversation can do.

What this is not

This is not counselling and it is not crisis support. I am not a therapist, and I do not give legal or financial advice.

I am a mother who went through separation while working and raising children, and who built the support she could not find. If what you need is clinical or urgent, I will tell you, and I will help you find the right person.

If you want to keep going

Most people start with one session. Some want a piece of work with a shape to it.

Three sessions, NZ$450. The same hourly rate, and a shape to hold them.

  • One. Where you are now. Getting steady.
  • Two. What you are carrying. The practical, and the children.
  • Three. What comes next. You.

There is nothing to arrange in advance. Start with one session, and if you want to carry on we will sort the rest out together.

Who this suits

This option is right for you if you want support alongside others. You may feel isolated or uncertain in your decisions.

You may value reassurance, shared understanding, and guidance as you navigate change.

Connection here is respectful, optional, and contained. Listening is as valid as speaking.

What the group adds

The group programme includes everything in the self-guided course, plus weekly two hour online sessions facilitated by me from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.

A calm and respectful group space where what is shared stays anonymous, and the chance to bring what is coming up for you alongside other women navigating the same thing.

You do not need to have completed the course content before each session. You can turn up exactly as you are.

What the group adds to each module

  • Module 1, Grounding After Separation. Reassurance and shared understanding as you find your footing.
  • Module 2, Navigating the Practicalities. Perspective and normalisation, which reduces overwhelm and decision fatigue.
  • Module 3, Supporting Children Through Separation. Reflection and shared insight as you parent through change.
  • Module 4, Life by Design. A steady container for reflection as you look ahead.

The full module detail is on the self-guided course page.

Prefer to work on your own?

The self-guided course covers the same four modules, privately and at your own pace.

FAQ

1. Do I need to have decided anything before we talk?

No. Most people book when they are least sure. You can arrive with nothing worked out.

2. What happens in a first session?

You talk, I listen, and we work out together what would actually help. There is no format you have to follow.

3. Do you offer evenings?

Available times are on the booking page.

4. What if I need to cancel?

You can reschedule or cancel through the link in your confirmation email, up to 24 hours before. If something happens on the day, email me.

5. Is this counselling?

No. It is practical, grounded support from someone who has been through separation while parenting and working. If you need clinical support, I will say so.

6. Who is the group coaching programme best suited for?

The group option is for women who:

  • Feel isolated
  • Want connection
  • Benefit from live structure
  • Long for shared understanding

It offers weekly grounding and conversation with other mothers navigating separation.

When I separated, connecting with other women was one of the most stabilising parts of my recovery. Shared experience reduces shame and softens isolation.

You complete the same course content, with added live support.

7. What happens in the weekly calls?

Weekly sessions include:

  • Gentle emotional check-ins
  • Guided grounding
  • Conversation around that week's theme
  • Space for questions

Calls are recorded and shared privately within the cohort only. They are never distributed outside the group. If parenting or work commitments mean you miss a session, you can watch the recording later.

The structure supports you. It does not pressure you.

8. I am nervous about sharing. What if I do not feel comfortable speaking?

There is no obligation to share more than feels right.

You can speak, write reflections in the chat, or listen quietly. At the beginning of each session, you may note if you are listening only that day.

We encourage visible presence where possible because it strengthens connection, but emotional safety comes first.

Many women begin quietly and find their voice over time.

9. What if I join the group and realise it is not right for me?

If you join the group programme and decide you would prefer to continue privately, you can transition into the self-guided course within the first week.

Simply reach out and we will adjust your access.

The goal is for you to feel supported in the way that suits you best.

10. What if I am only considering separation?

You are still welcome. Many women join while they are still deciding.

The grounding tools and practical orientation can reduce mental load and help you think more clearly about what comes next.

You do not need to have separated to benefit from support.

There is no single right way to move through separation. This chapter may not be the one you planned. When you are ready, you are welcome here.
